So I have been giving some thought as to why I have turned out to be a passive blogger. Five years ago, blogging was my job, sort of. But now, even if I force myself, it’s like something too trivial to spend time on. Time; now that’s a blur!
For someone in a serious relationship with a laptop, what do I spend most of my time on? Ha… Social Networks!! It’s unbelievable how one could just literally spend hours and hours socializing online. It makes me wonder, are we really benefiting from these habits as oppose to what we would have been doing if there were no such networks at all? I don’t think I can even think that far anymore. It’s more like I’m brainwashed into this concept and there’s no going back. So either you embrace it or take up a career as a hermit. Pitfalls of the Information Age which reminds of the Google Opt-out parody.
So, instead of just putting it all way, I’ve decided to compromise. This is where the wonderful folks at tumblr have done me a huge favor. Social Networking and Blogging combined! From here on, I will be tumbling all in one place so it won’t be so that I have gone on a vacation off the face of the earth!
Since I’m continuing on something I’ve already built on for sometime, this will henceforth be known as Open Abstraction!
